A special type of PBX is suitable for building interconnections between operators/carriers. It can operate as an exchange node for equivalent directions or as concentrator processing one-way outbound traffic. It is suitable for both independent peering centers and interest groups of operators/carriers.
Reference installation uses Association of Operators in Digital Telephony as the exclusive exchange point for phone calls.

The device enables easy and intuitive management of telephone numbers blocks of individual operators, including those borrowed and ported, and of course allows automatic data exchange (import/export/update) using SOAP. Any internal routing tables can be promoted online via DNS server, information about routing availability for respective number can be checked online via SOAP or HTTP GET queries. The main benefit of telco section of the device is that peering switch works as a SBC and effectively hides network topology of individual operators and allows them to detail adapt itself SIP signaling and the conversion of telephone numbers from/to national and international formats. Each operator has at its disposal its own instance and therefore an error in the setting does not affect the operation of the other.
For e.com peering switch operation is suitable any Ethernet network with a minimum speed of 100 Mb/s.
To seamless integration ensure respective Ethernet connection at the installation site, Internet access and static public IPv4 and/or IPv6 address.
